BW3 is the brainchild of trombonist, electronic artist, and bandleader Brendan Whalen. Frustrated with the boundaries of traditional music styles, Whalen quickly began to develop an innovative sound of his own using a combination of electric trombone, original samples, and improvisation. Since their first performance as a band in 2023, BW3 is making waves in the creative music scene. Their debut studio album “BW3” combines lush, ambient textures with ripping electric trombone, break-neck drum and bass, abrasive boom bap beats, and experimental free jazz to create a unique sonic experience.
